I can't believe it, but my baby turned a year old! It seems like yesterday he was in my belly doing gymnastics! I can honestly say that this has been the most wonderful, challenging, and rewarding year of my life, and I think Michael would agree! I love this little man so much my heart could burst, yet he can push my buttons like no other child can!
We had an absolute blast at his party! We made it carnival themed and I can't even remember now why I chose that, but it turned out great! Happy Birthday Easton Grant! You are my little dream come true!!

Attempting to catch up!!
So I'm the worst blogger ever. Easton is growing up before my eyes! This summer is going by so fast and I'm sure it's due to how busy we have been! Home projects have come to a halt..house is 3/4 painted on the outside and its been that way since April! I have such a love/hate relationship with taking on so many house projects! I love making things over, I just wish I could hire people to do most of the work :-)
I guess our kitchen is basically done..just a few little things here and there need to be done, we just haven't made them a priority! Here is a before/after..I'm pretty happy with it..we decided to keep the cabinets for now, I wasn't ready to fork out another five grand at this point!
Don't judge me on how messy it is! I have to mention that the cabinets were mauve when we moved in and we painted them white..I think it was a good choice.
Michael and I have been spontaneous this summer and taken a few weekend getaways including Savannah Ga, which was gorgeous (but blazing hot) and most recentley we spent the weekend with dear college friends that we love! I didn't take many pics of either ( I hate when I do that) but here are a couple (most of them will be of my lil man)
Lady & Sons in Savannah! Lives up to the hype!
Where we stayed...j/k
I guess that completes this disorganized post!!

Now that Lil E is nine months old I will post his 6 mth pics! Such procrastination, but that's how I roll!! These pics were taken by my oldest bff Brooke!! She is a stay at home mom and photographer and has been taking pics of me since I was 10, and I have to say her work has come along way since then! She is awesome!! Her website should be up and running soon! Here are some of my favorites!!

Just a peek!
This has been one busy month! Between remodeling the kitchen (pics coming soon!!), taking care of a sick baby, taking a couple of mini trips, I haven't had time to post! We just got back from IN and it was awesome, but there is no place like home!!
I am going to sit down soon and catch up on all of it, until then I leave you with a picture of us on our way back! This lil man was a great flyer!

Can I get a whoop whoop!!
Today is a good day...I have a healthy body, husband, baby, food to eat, a roof over my head anddddddd I can finally say I have swept my kitchen tile today for the LAST TIME! This tile has been a thorn in my side since we've moved into our home. It has the strangest pattern, with HUGE grout lines that are very hard to keep clean, and just down right ugly. I look at and cringe everytime. Michael and I went tonight to 4 different tile stores trying to find something cheap, neutral, and somewhat nice, but lets face it anything is better than this...
My kitchen is where I spend 75% of my day so the fact that it is slowlyyyyyyyy getting a makeover is a huge blessing and hopefully a motivation to cook healthy, yummy meals during the week, and yummy treats on the weekends.
I wish I had a better before picture, we literally had people gasp when they walked in our kitchen, it was bad. I still have a long way to go, but hopefully next week I will have an after picture with some progress to show..not a final "after" pic, but progress!
