Future Dr. Easton

Just had to share these pics..he makes my heart melt!

Michael's dad bought Easton these baby scrubs when we were in the hospital. When we brought him home I thought it would be forever till his little body would grow into them! I'm finding that he is growing too fast to wear all his clothes! So sad..I wish I could keep him this little forever..no, nevermind..I want to have a full nights sleep again :)

I hate colds!!!

It is not the most wonderful time of the year in our household right now...Easton has his first cold! Boo hoo. Michael and I have had a never ending cold since before Christmas, and we thought we were in the clear of him getting it...nope! He hasn't started the draining process yet (which I'm dreading)but its a comin! I hope you are healthy and happy today! I'm so happy that our heater works, so nice and toasty!I will be home bound until its warms up a bit, I'm such a sissy in the cold.

2009 Recap!

This year has been a year of blessings! We decided to move back to my hometown once Mike finished school, and it was a great decision! We bought our first "house" last Jan. (can't believe its been a year!) and have been remodeling it ever since! It has taken a lot of time and funds to make it into our home and we still have a lot of dreams left concerning this house! The exterior leaves much to be desired and my kitchen has not exactly inspired me to cook, but I'm very thankful for the space, and the fact that we have a home.

I found out I was preggo the week after we closed on this house! Mike put me to work anyway...I painted, laid wood floors, scraped popcorn off the ceilings..and much more (believe me I complained 85% of the time! )

Easton Grant was born October 5th and he has completely changed our lives..for the better of course! Other than being sleep deprived the past 12 wks, I have never felt more blessed and happy!! I can't wait to watch him grow this year, he is already changing so much!! I am listening to Mike playing with him in the living room now and it makes me smile, he is beyond what I expected him to be as a dad!I could not do this parenting thing without him!
We had a great Christmas this year...much busier than I ever remember any past Christmas being..

and although I lovvveee Christmas, I am ready to get back to "normalcy"! No more cookies, pies, or peppermint for awhile!

And now I am looking forward to 2010 and all the craziness it will bring!!

Happy New Year!

The day is drawing near!

Well, I am 36 weeks preggo this week, which means in one more week Easton will be ripe and ready, although I'm sure he will probably keep me waiting a few weeks longer for his arrival! I sat on the couch tonight and just watched my belly jiggle all around and I have to say, it made me a little sad..my first pregnancy is almost over! I have dreamed of this for years, and now that it is actually coming true, I feel overwhelmed, scared and excited all at the same time! Our lives will change forever, I know that..I get that, at least I think I do! I can't wait to look him in the eyes and know that he is my baby,my own son. Craziness! What a blessing to be given a child, I'm so thankful for this baby, and soo excited to meet him!
All the swelling, backaches, insomnia, and mood swings will be well worth it when I hold him for the first time!
